Boys’ Day Out at Brooklands

Thought you might like this! Our Rotary Club day out!

Four of us Sutton Nonsuch guys, Peter, Chris, Barry and myself, had a great day out yesterday at Brooklands Museum –

Chris and Peter are Brooklands Volunteers and they gave us a guided tour. Do the know their stuff? Yes, and it was fun listening to them arguing about points they didn’t agree about!

Naturally, we started in the café area with light snacks and coffee but were soon exploring the place, starting with a scary car ride high up on the banked race track!

Two of the high spots were the 24 litre Napier Railton which held 47 world records at one time and the Sultan of Brunei’s VC10. Talk about a palace in the sky! We took a few pics so here are some tasters!
