Our Golden Wedding Anniversary!

Welcome to my web site or back again if you’ve been here before!

The bride is the star of this one!

Just a couple of weeks back, lovely Jan and I celebrated fifty years of marriage! Yes, quite an achievement, especially for Jan who has put up me for that long! We were married on 17 September 1966 at St Aldhelm’s church in Branksome, between Poole and Bournemouth.

The classic pose of family and bridesmaids!

We celebrated our actual anniversary with our son, Greg, and his wife, Sue, and our daughter, Mel, and her husband, Guy. We had a fabulous meal at Rick Stein’s restaurant in Sandbanks, so very near where we were married. That brought back a few memories, I can tell you!

I thought you might like to see these wedding photos. Sorry that they are in black and white. Doesn’t Jan look beautiful in the picture in the back of the car?

Cutting the spectacular cake!

On the day after, we had a ‘coffee and cakes’ gathering, organised by Mel, at the Highcliff Marriott Hotel. A great occasion with the family. Thank you everybody for coming and for the wonderful presents you gave us!
